Lovaas Therapists and Lovaas Therapy
Lovaas is a type of
home based early intervention, they work with children between the ages
of two and eight for two or three hour sessions. During these sessions,
they work for a short amount of time (3-5minutes) on one task or goal
then they give your child an equal amount of time for free play directly
afterwards. They mainly use positive reinforcement
and have terminated
the use of striking, shouting, and the use of electroshocks.
